Small Towns Big Stories Finalists

Author: Keira / Posted: 11.03.19, 13:08:15

We are pleased to announce the finalists of the Litnet's contest Small Towns Big Stories. The jury has selected the following stories:

"Blood Moon" - Anna R. Case
"Tails" - Jessica Wright
"The House at Sailor's Bay" - Cherie Mitchell

For their outstanding work, they will receive a registration waiver, a return ticket to Portland, and accommodation during the days of the AWP Conference. The final winner will be announced at the Litnet's special event there.

Thank you all for participating in the contest, and for reading and supporting your favorite authors on Litnet. Our only regret is that there can only be three finalists.

There will be more contests on Litnet in the future. Get ready, the next winner may be you.

Congratulations everyone! Have a great time!
Litnet, any chance of a brief private feedback for those of us not selected?

Keira, Then why invite them across from wattpad? Look, I'm not bitter about losing, I'm just assuming that 2 or 3 of your team have over the last couple of weeks read at least some of my novel. At your request I spent 20-30 hours of my very limited free time copying and pasting and editing my story across to you. I really don't think it's much to ask you guys to take ten minutes out of your day to write a brief private email of industry-insider feedback.

Congrats everyone

Can we see why books didn't rank?

That's unfortunate. I don't think I'll participate next time, this was an experiment and not knowing why I didn't rank doesn't help me improve my story. I'm happy for the people who did place though, they must be ecstatic .
