Losing hope

My new story, Photographs, was put up for the Beauty and the Beast competition and has come back rejected.

I've already tried to enter with Caught in the web and, understandably, that one was rejected three times because the demon was a spider demon and not entirely within thier guidelines that i changed each time it was rejected.

But now my Teddy is being rejected too. I've kept him as a plain demon with horns and a tail. The only difference in this story is that all demons can see soul lights of the humans like Lavender. The stars are described as lights of the departed souls of the world that are turned into stars then demons when they come down to the earth each New Years Eve.

They do exchange souls in a Bonding that twines them together forever as lovers, but this does not change them physically. It's literally just a light exchange and it's still a demon and a human with a really cute love story.

But i'm losing hope now. I've focused on the guidelines and made it wholesome this time instead of smutty like Caught in the Web. But if I'm encouraged to participate with another story, im just going to finish this one and simply drop out.
