Swear words in Young-Adult Literature
Hello, dear Authors and Readers!
I have a question for you. I want to keep this post decent, and without actual swear words, but I need to ask you - which strong/mature (?) words can be used in young-adult literature, from your point of view? :)
We all know, that young people swear. I'm not planning to use these words as a characteristic of personages in my works (though sometimes I think that I should have because once I was told that my teenagers speak as middle-aged philologists))), but there are situations when they need to use such words (when the angry, too upset, etc.).
Which words do you recommend, not to be too true to life, but possible for young-adults to read without annoying their parents?
F-words I meet frequently in YA books I read, but I'm against it. There are too many of them and I don't want to add.
Thank you very much!
❤️

If you want to consider. These are expressions that I used in my write up.

I guess we have the same heart when it comes to choosing the kind of language in writing.
God bless you...
