So, I have a slight dilemma on my hands.
Some authors are promoting their books in the comments of my blog posts and written works. Usually, I'm not one to call someone out for minor things like that, but personally, I won't go promoting my books on other authors' works ( it would be the same as advertising McDonald's in a KFC if you know what I mean.) There is an option to block them from further commenting, but I'm not petty and neither am I in the mood to start a war over something that could be resolved peacefully.
So, my question to you is have you ever had the same 'dilemma' as me before? If you did, how did you handle it?
I'm just trying to be professional and ethical about this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Well dear, in most of the situations... booknet deletes it on it's own... but incase in doesn't in your case then... open the desktop version of this app in Google Chrome(in mobile) or in a laptop or computer itself... there you get the option of deleting the comment... I advise you to delete it and not block.. it keeps open the option of having these people atleast read your book if they want and then comment on it, if you understand what I mean... in the app in phone, i am not sure if that option is present... hope it helps :)
I have not had such issues before... Just once on my blog post, but I ignored it. Usually I approach people in their private comment box and promote myself there.
You can also use the same means to reach out the author and air your pain.
Also note, some authors don't know how to navigate the platform yet, so they are ignorant of the private commenting section. It took me a while to master it, so send them a message first in their private box. It could help enlighten them.
