Useful desktop version features for authors
There are some features on Booknet that you might not have noticed earlier due to using of the mobile version of Booknet or the app.
1. Changing the position of the books in your profile.
The recently published books are shown on top in your profile but if you are a commercial author and want to move your bestselling book to the top, you may do it in your profile.
Note that it is always better to put in the first place books that sell good or are the free books in the series. In this way, they get more visibility in your profile.
To do it, go to My stories after logging in to your profile on the booknet.com website and choosing the Desktop version.
On the right of the book, you will see 2 arrows with the word Move next to them. With the help of these arrows, you can move your books in your profile up and down.
2. Changing the status of the book or removing it.
Many authors that use only the Booknet app or the mobile version of the site can't find the option to remove their books or to change their status to Completed, Sample, or On Hold.
To do it, go to your account on the booknet.com website, and switch to the desktop version (the button is available at the bottom of the screen). Then go to My stories, press Edit, choose Contents and scroll down the page to the field Change the book's status. Then choose Remove, Complete, Sample, or On Hold.
3. Adding books to a series.
When you start publishing a sequel, readers might have difficulty finding it.
To make it easier for them, add the 2 books to one series, and readers will be able to find the sequel in 1 click.
To create a series, go to My series and add a title for the series and the description. Save it.
Then go to the book's page that belongs to this series, press Edit, Options, and in the series field choose to Add to the existing series.
Select your created series and then save the changes.
Then add the other book to the same series in the same way you did with the previous book.
4. Affiliate dashboard
The Affiliate dashboard feature is also available only on the desktop version of Booknet.
While promoting your own books in different groups on social media, you can also earn money from all the purchases readers that click your links make.
Here you can check out the details about the affiliate dashboard and how it works.
